Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
As you read this invitation from Jesus, what stands out to you today? Recently, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me” really stood out to me. I received it as an exhortation from Jesus and a reminder that He alone is the one that I need to listen to. Daily responding with joy to Jesus and saying, “Yes Lord Jesus, lead me, teach me, and transform me today so that I look more like You and point others to You.” What does it look like today to linger in the presence of Jesus? To slow? To thank Him? To listen to Him? Perhaps lift a song of worship to Him? Is there someone that Jesus brings to mind in this moment to pray for - that they would respond to His invitation today?
