CrossRoads Connect Weekly
The Cross Through Paul's Eyes
As we journey through Lent, we’ll take a fresh look at the Cross from different perspectives—seeing how it shaped the lives of Jesus, Paul, Peter, Isaiah, and John. The Cross is central to our faith, and this series invites us to refocus on its power, meaning, and impact on our relationship with Christ.
This Sunday, Julie Cavanaugh discusses Romans 6. This passage emphasizes that since we are believers, we have died to sin and should no longer live in it. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, we are given new life, set free from sin, and called to live in obedience to God. Grace is not a license to sin but an invitation to righteousness, leading to holiness and eternal life. Join us as we celebrate our freedom and new life in Jesus!
Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.
Senior Pastor Transition
At our AGM in January, the Board recommended that Pastor Jordan Cavanaugh step into the role of Senior Pastor when Pastor Dan retires in June, 2026. They also promised opportunities for the church family to learn more and ask questions—this is one of those key moments.
Join us for an open forum with Pastor Jordan as he shares his heart for CrossRoads and his vision for the future. You’ll also hear from the Board about the senior pastor transition process and the plans moving forward. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions.
This forum will occur during our next Soup's On event, so grab a bowl of soup and join us in the Chapel!
This is an exciting season for CrossRoads, and we invite you to be part of the conversation as we look ahead with faith and anticipation.
Sunday, April 6 at 12:30pm in the Chapel

Step Out in Obedience
Baptism is an outward testimony of an inward transformation. It’s the first step of obedience for a disciple of Christ. It is a way for us to publicly declare that we acknowledge Jesus as Lord and are committing our lives to walking in His way. We would be thrilled to help you take this important step in your faith journey!
Sunday, April 13 during each service at 9am, 11am, or 6pm in the Sanctuary
If you would like to take this important step in following Jesus, please fill out the baptism form on our website at crossroadschurch.ca/baptism.
Men's Night: Fight For Family
Basecamp Sessions are meant to provide the men of CrossRoads with opportunities to develop friendships within the rhythms and routines of everyday life. At this session we'll build on Pastor Dan's previous message from the last basecamp session, about fighting for our families. This time we'll dive deeper and learn how to create a spiritual growth plan. Local Pastor Fred Knip, will also be there to equip and guide us through this process.

Unceasing Prayer
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
Holy Week—the days between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday—is a sacred time to ready our hearts for Easter. What better way to observe these days than by devoting time to intentional, unceasing prayer?
We invite each person to commit just one hour—to take a break from the busyness of life and focus on Jesus. You can pray from home, at the park, in a Café, or even here at CrossRoads. The Prayer Room will be available with interactive stations designed to help guide you in prayer and deepen your connection with God. If you would like to double up on a time slot with another person, go for it! How cool would it be if we filled all 168 time slots with unceasing prayer? We can't wait to see how God moves—not only in our lives, but in our hearts, our faith, and our community. Sign up today for this powerful prayer movement and be prepared to see how God shows up during this time. Let's lift our voices in unified, persistent prayer!

Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 - 9:00am to 9:00pm

Seniors: Fellowship & Prayer
For anyone 55+ -- join us as we gather for another GEMS Luncheon, featuring fellowship and tasty food from the CrossRoads kitchen. This month, we welcome one of our very own - Pastor Denise Snyder to talk to us about prayer. Prayer can be more than a routine habit or a cry for help—it draws us close to the God who transforms our fears into faith, and our hearts into reflections of His own. When we pray continually and praise Him in all things, our focus shifts from what we lack, into the fullness of Christ, shaping us to walk in His power, peace, and righteousness every day.
