CrossRoads Connect Weekly
The Suffering Servant
This year on Good Friday, Pastor Jordan Cavanaugh will preach on Isaiah 52:13-53:12 which portrays the "Suffering Servant," highlighting the profound theme of sin and redemption. In verse 53:6, "All we, like sheep, have gone astray," we see a stark representation of humanity's vulnerability and tendency to stray from the right path. This imagery underscores our inherent waywardness and need for guidance. Reflect on the Cross with us Friday morning, and find new understanding on the extent of what Jesus has done for us.
Friday, April 18 at 9:00am or 11:00am in the Sanctuary
These services will not be available online.
Celebrate New Life & Hope
This Sunday, Pastor Dan Cochrane will teach from Revelations 1:9-18, these verses highlight Jesus' victory over death, as He proclaims, "I hold the keys of death and Hades." This emphasizes what Jesus has done for humanity—defeating death and offering hope, serving as a profound source of strength and comfort for believers in their trials.
Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.
Looking for meaningful ways to celebrate Easter? Explore our Lent resource page for books, music, and more to help be your guide. These are the most significant days of the Christian calendar and we want to ensure our focus is on Jesus and giving Him all the praise He deserves! Check out the Lent Resource page.
Unceasing Prayer
What better way to ready our hearts for Easter than by devoting time to intentional, unceasing prayer? Even though we are now at the end of Holy Week, it is not too late to sign up and join us in prayer!
We invite each person to commit just one hour to take a break from the busyness of life and focus on Jesus. You can pray from home, at the park, in a Café - anywhere! The Prayer Room was available this week with interactive stations designed to help guide you in prayer, but if you missed those hours of operation, you can still access the guides today. Visit our webpage to see what content we have available to help deepen your connection with God. If you would like to pray at a certain time and want to double up on a time slot with another person, go for it! How cool would it be if we filled all 168 time slots with unceasing prayer? We can't wait to see how God moves—not only in our lives, but in our hearts, our faith, and our community. Sign up today for this powerful prayer movement and be prepared to see how God shows up during this time. Let's lift our voices in unified, persistent prayer!
Senior Pastor Update
Our Senior Pastor transition process continues to move forward with prayer, planning, and discernment. We want to keep you in the loop every step of the way—and encourage you to stay informed and engaged as we walk through this significant season together as a church family.
To help you stay connected, we’ve created a dedicated webpage with regular updates, a clear timeline, FAQs, and ways you can be involved.
Visit the Senior Pastor transition page to learn more, pray with us, and journey alongside us through this important time of transition.
Have Questions About Faith?
Did you know that 30 million people worldwide took Alpha last year?! If you or someone in your life is interested in exploring the Christian faith, join us for our "Come and See" Night. This is a perfect opportunity to come and see if Alpha is right for you. We'll start with a free dinner, share some details about the course itself and then watch the first video together. After the "Come and See" Night, we'll shift from meeting at the church to meeting in home groups. We love Alpha At Home because it allows you to ask questions about faith and exposes you to Christian community in the comfort of a living room, rather than a church building. We've got facilitators who have agreed to open up their homes and host Alpha groups. Don't worry if you aren't sure how to get involved in a home group, sign up on the groups catalogue and we'll make sure to find you a home!
"Come and See" Night is on Tuesday, April 22 at 6pm in the Chapel
Runs weekly in different homes.

A Commitment for Families
Let's provide our children with the greatest gift we can give - by dedicating them to God and allowing Him to aid you in protecting, providing, and helping kids flourish into who they are meant to grow into. This special Sunday service is a declaration that we are committing to raising our children in Christ's name, to the best of our ability, and to know and love Jesus. It takes a village to raise a child, so we welcome friends, family, CrossRoads churchgoers, and non churchgoers to gather with you at this special service.
