CrossRoads Connect Weekly

Authentic Mission
What does it mean to live authentically as a follower of Jesus? Through Acts, we see the early church’s faith in action, rooted in truth, Spirit-led, and lived daily. Each week invites us into authentic faith, community, and mission.
This Sunday Pastor Dan Cochrane will be speaking on Authentic Mission /Leadership. He will be unpacking the essence of authentic mission and leadership, using Acts 1:8 as a guide for spreading the Gospel.
Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.

Considering Baptism?
At CrossRoads Church, we believe that baptism is a step of obedience for those who follow Jesus. It is a way for us to publicly declare that we acknowledge Jesus as Lord and are committing our lives to walking in His way. We would be thrilled to help you take this important step in your faith journey!
The next baptism service will be on Sunday, November 16th, and it will take place during all three services. If you're considering taking this meaningful step in your walk with Jesus, please complete the baptism form at: crossroadschurch.ca/baptism. We will then contact you to schedule an interview.
Please note: We love when our kids get to be part of this special church-wide celebration! On baptism Sunday, there will be no kids programs for Kindergarten to Grade 6. Instead, our kids will join their families in the service, to witness the joy of baptisms, worship together, and celebrate with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s such a beautiful opportunity for our kids to see faith in action and be part of the big family of God. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
November 16, during each service, in the Sanctuary.

Dedicating to the Lord
Child Dedication is a meaningful milestone in a family’s journey. When you are blessed with a child, you recognize your need for Heavenly guidance. Raising children is a community effort, and we warmly invite friends, family, CrossRoads church members, and guests to join us in this special service.
Together, let’s give our children the greatest gift: dedicating them to God and inviting His wisdom to help us nurture, protect, and encourage them to become all they are meant to be. This service is a public commitment to raise our children in Christ’s love, to the best of our ability, so they may grow in faith and love for Jesus.
Please pray for these families as they take this meaningful step.
Sunday, November 9, 9:00am, in the Chapel.

Companioning the Bereaved
Have you ever wondered what you would need to do or say when a close friend or family member has lost a loved one? You are not alone. We live in a grief deprived culture, lacking healthy rituals and spaces to express grief which may lead to unresolved individual and collective pain. There is a growing need to shift this cultural mindset which begins by understanding the needs of the bereaved and ways in which we can show compassion and learn how to come alongside them on their difficult journey, where they already feel so lone.
Join us as we talk about grief, bereavement and the how to journey with those who are bereaved. Together we can start the change and at CrossRoads become an educated, loving, compassionate people who care for and companion the bereaved well.

Local Needs in our Community

We are also accepting winter clothing, including sweaters, coats, and snow pants, as long as they are clean and in excellent condition. We are truly grateful to be part of such a caring community that loves and supports one another in practical and meaningful ways.
