Psalm 42:8 (NIV)
8 By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
I invite you to sit with Jesus today and pray through Psalm 42.
Perhaps begin by slowly reading it out loud and see what Jesus causes to stand out to you.
What does Jesus want you to notice today? Not only notice in the psalm, but also notice in your soul.
Is there something that your soul is disturbed about? I encourage you to bring that to Jesus today.
Often, we can be in such a hurry. I need the reminder today to slow. To slow in Jesus’ presence. To remember Him. To seek Him. To rest in Him. To hear His voice and go His way.
By day, Jesus directs his love. At night, His song is with me. A prayer to Him. Jesus is our life.
Let’s pray for the people that Jesus impresses on our hearts today. Let’s pray that they would know the hope that is only found in knowing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
