Meet Us Staff

A Message from Dwayne:

Hello CrossRoads family,

I am deeply honoured to be chosen as your Executive Pastor. Some of you know me but for those that don’t I wanted to share a bit about myself and my journey with our church.

I’m originally from Manitoba, but Red Deer has been my home since 1993. My wonderful wife, Heather, and I have been blessed with nearly 35 years of marriage. We have an adult son, Eric, and a daughter-in-law, Kelsey, who both attend CrossRoads, and our adult daughter, Megan, who lives in Edmonton and is recently engaged to her fiancé, Jesse Carlson.

Our journey with CrossRoads began in January 1994, back when it was still Oriole Park Church. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various ministries including men’s ministry, youth ministry, the prayer team, and the hospitality team. For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of being a member of your Board of Elders. My experience also includes two stints as the Communications Director for our church, first from April, 2019 to October, 2020 in a contract role as we developed a full Communications Team and more recently in an interim staff position since November, 2023 to help out the team due to a vacancy in the leadership role.

Professionally, I’ve spent over 29 years as a local entrepreneur, investor, business consultant, and coach, helping leaders develop their teams and organizations. These experiences, along with my spiritual gifts, have equipped me with valuable skills and insights that I believe can greatly benefit our church and staff.

In addition to my work and church involvement, I’m passionate about serving our community. I am an active member of the Rotary Club of Red Deer and serve on the board of directors at Shalom Counseling Centre.

As I step into this new role, my heart is filled with excitement and dedication. I am committed to our church’s vision and am eager to continue serving alongside you all. Your prayerful support and affirmation means the world to me.

Thank you for being such a wonderful church family.

God Bless,

Pastor Dwayne Holland
