Prayer Reflection – January 19, 2025

Psalm 112:6-7 (NIV)

6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
    they will be remembered forever.
7 They will have no fear of bad news;
    their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

Romans 12:11-12 (NIV)

11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

In Psalm 112, we read in verse 7 that the righteous, “…will have no fear of bad news.”

In Romans 12:12, Paul shares the exhortation, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

As I read these verses, my heart is stirred.  I desire for these things to be true about me as I trust in Jesus, but I realize that I am very much in process.

Jesus invites us to trust Him.  Trust Him with everything.  Trust Him in everything.

What is Jesus drawing your attention to from Psalm 112 and Romans 12?  How is He leading you to pray?

As you pause with Jesus today, here is a song that I wanted to share with you:
