God’s timing is perfect! We were facing two critical issues at our Salem Acres Bible Camp site that required immediate financial assistance to resolve. The first was the failure of an old septic tank that connected to a duplex unit that housed our staff. The effort to salvage the existing septic tank resulted in raw sewage being pushed back into the basement of the building. With limited funds available we were considering temporarily de-commissioning the building. But the generous and timely support from CrossRoads Church allowed us to purchase and install a new septic tank and it was a direct answer to prayer! Our staff are grateful everyday for indoor plumbing!
The other critical issue was going into the summer camp with an old, unreliable, leaking dishwasher that could no longer be repaired. With the funds we received from CrossRoads we were able to purchase a new, high performance, environmentally friendly dishwasher. As one of our Board members pointed out, “camp can get by without a lot of things but not without a dishwasher.” Thank you to everyone at CrossRoads Church for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit and helping in such a big way – it is a powerful encouragement to all of us here at Salem Acres.
