Prayer Reflection – December 7, 2023

Psalm 84:1 (NIV)

How lovely is your dwelling place,
    Lord Almighty!

John 1:14 (The Message)

14 The Word became flesh and blood,
    and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
    the one-of-a-kind glory,
    like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
    true from start to finish.

I invite you to prayerfully read through Psalm 84 and John 1.

Oh, the richness and wonder of this immeasurable gift that we have been given in Jesus.

As we anticipate Christmas, let’s pause again today to consider in a fresh way the gift of Himself (see John 3:16).

Let’s run into His presence today and sit at His feet (see Luke 10:38-42).  Let’s hang on His every word and take more time to listen than we speak.

What do you think is on His heart today?

What would He say to you about what has preoccupied your mind recently?

Let’s wait on Jesus today.  Let’s come near and adore Him.  Let’s pray as He leads us.

These are two songs that I wanted to share with you today as you pause in worship and prayer.

The Lord bless you!
